Some collaborations are simply destined to be overwhelming successes.

The Hendon Mob hosted their first-ever Mid-Major this past week. They partnered with the RunGood Poker Series and the Thunder Valley Poker Room just outside Sacramento, California. That’s a better collaboration than anything DJ Khaled has ever put together.

“This is the first stop in the continent of North America,” said Roland Boothby, Head of Partnerships at The Hendon Mob. “The Hendon Mob Championship, our live circuit, was founded in 2018.”

At a $600 price point, the two-day event broke records for that buy-in level at the Thunder Valley Poker Room. A total of 1,592 entries took their shot throughout the five starting flights, building a massive prize pool of $834,600. That shattered the $500k guarantee as they expected it would.

Eight players chop the remaining money

With eight players remaining, talks of a potential deal began swirling. Once ICM numbers were calculated players voted anonymously for or against the deal. All votes were in favor, so the payouts were solidified, with everyone content to receive better than the original third-place money for their efforts.

Thunder Valley: The Last Kilometer

The Hendon Mob Mid-Major Championship was only one event that took place inside of a full schedule for the RunGood Poker Series’ season closer.

The series stop featured buy-ins at a wide variety of price points, plenty of mixed games, and even a heads-up bracket event. The $2,500 Main Event begins today featuring a $1 million guarantee and a second starting flight tomorrow.

As usual, the RunGood stop featured fun activities throughout the schedule, including an Ambassador Bounty event, a comedy night with Joe Stapleton, MeetUp games with Boston Rob, Lexy Gavin-Mather, Jeff Platt, and more.

If you’d like to be a part of future RunGood stops, check out their upcoming schedule here.

Congratulations to The Hendon Mob for bringing their circuit stateside with outstanding success in partnership with RunGood Poker Series and Thunder Valley Poker Room!
