Fresh off a recent re-branding, ACR Poker plans to run a special edition of their flagship High Five tournament series. From August 6th-27th, players can take part in the largest ever High Five series with a guaranteed prize pool of $14.4 million.
“We typically run the High Five in April which is perfect for the ‘420’ theme, but now we’re
running a special version in August due to player demand,” stated Chris Moneymaker, ACR Pro.
“So, end your summer on a high note by blazing our smoking-hot tables!”
The High Five schedule features increased guarantees on ten tournaments a day for twenty-two straight days. Buy-ins start at just $1.10 and half of the daily tournaments are low stakes, allowing for players of all bankroll sizes to participate and take a shot at a massive prize.
Moneymaker added that while all the High Five tournaments are notable, players should look to take part in the three $1 million guaranteed tournaments:
- $1 Million GTD Kickoff ($630 buy-in) on Sunday, August 6th at 12:05pm ET.
- $1 Million Main Event ($630 buy-in) on Sunday, August 27th at 12:05pm ET.
- $1 Million GTD High Stakes Special ($2,650 buy-in). Day 1 is on Sunday, August 27th at 1:05pm ET and Day 2 is on Monday, August 28th at 1:05pm ET.
High Five Mystery Bounty
A new edition to the High Five schedule this year are the popular Mystery Bounty events. These tournaments are recent additions to the ACR Poker lineup. The High Five series will feature two of these events, a $300,000 GTD ($16.50 buy-in) and a $75,000 GTD ($2.50 buy-in). Day 1s are on the schedule from August 6th-27th and Day 2s are on Sunday, August 27th.
For a touch of fun, and in keeping with the theme, the High Five tournaments feature a ten-minute “courtesy break” at 4:20pm ET. Players can take the time to grab a snack, use the bathroom, or relax in whatever way they please.
