Ari Engel has moved into a tie for third on the all-time WSOP Circuit victories leaderboard with his 13th win, a triumph in an Online Circuit event in Michigan. Engel topped a 90-player field in Event #12 of the ongoing WSOP Circuit Super Series Michigan, $20,000 NLH 6-Max.

Engel’s winner’s payday was $8,926.20 in a tourney that also drew 72 re-entries, accounting for the 162 number in his Tweet from earlier today:

The first-place payday was modest for the two-time WSOP bracelet winner and now-13-time Circuit ring winner, whose live winnings alone are nearing $9 million. The win also went almost unnoticed. Online Circuit events typically receive much less news coverage than their live Circuit counterparts, but the win was significant for the career Circuit standings. With his 13th ring, Engel moves into a tie with Daniel “Duma” Lowery for third in career Circuit triumphs, trailing only Maurice Hawkins (15) and Josh Reichard (14) on the WSOP’s lifetime Circuit wins board.

It’s also Engel’s fourth Circuit win since 2020, and he is one of the tour’s most dedicated grinders, meaning there are likely numerous future ring victories for him in the years ahead. Engel moved out of what had been a tie for fourth with Valentin Vornicu at 12. Four more players — Jeffrey Trudeau, Jr., Robert Hankins, Martin Ryan, and David Larson (the one from Las Vegas, not the one from California) are the other players with double-digit Circuit triumphs, with 10 each.
